We Still Alive

Water and Health Story

Anamnesis.WESA was born from a transformative experience in Kawangware, Kenya, one of Africa's largest slums. After three months of working in a local clinic, our founder returned to Italy with a vision that would change everything. The stories, the resilience, and the unfamiliar yet beautiful culture of the people he met sparked an idea: to create a bridge between worlds, sharing the unique experiences of African communities while helping them access life's most basic necessity, clean water and healthcare facilities.

Michele Ganz

Founder & Medical Student

Michele, founder of Anamnesis.WESA, medical student and author

Background

Michele is a Thomas Jefferson University graduate currently in his fifth year of medical school in Milan, Italy. His passion for science and medicine developed during his undergraduate years and continues to drive his work today.

Born and raised in Italy, Michele embraces his heritage while maintaining a global perspective. His Italian roots are evident in his love for coffee, good food, and rich cultural traditions. But his interests extend far beyond borders.

What truly captivates him is the intersection of science and humanity. He finds beauty in understanding the fundamental processes that sustain life and is driven by a desire to apply this knowledge where it matters most.

Michele's goal is to build a medical career that serves both his local community in Italy and the communities he's come to know in Kenya and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Outside of his studies, he enjoys playing soccer and exploring Milan's vibrant food scene with friends.
